Loving kindness

Metta, loving kindness, life path, yoga, spirituality
Today I completed my fourth level of Thai Yoga Massage in the beautiful Bahamas. Finishing a course always comes with a sense of accomplishment, but in a course like this one that is centred around metta (loving kindness), it can be sad to end. In moments like these it’s good to reflect on the learning that you’ve had and how to bring that into your every day world.
We all need more metta in our lives. And Thai yoga massage is a physical application of metta. However, it is so much more than that. Energy follows intent- I’ve heard this expressed in so many different ways by so many different people. When we intend to send metta to others on a regular basis, whether it be through our work, our hobbies, our friendships and all of our varied relationships, the world will respond in kind. Imagine a world where everyone is intending to send loving kindness to all they encounter. Hate would cease to exist. How do we get there? One person at a time. The more each and every one of us practice sending metta, the easier it will become to send it to even those we may find difficult. And then our world will truly begin to change.

Glad you’re back! But uber jealous with you at the Bahamas! You must have missed the awesome unrelenting looong winter we have… … NoT! xo

    • Hate to make you even more jealous, but I’m not backtrack o the cold freeze until Monday. I have two days to wander paradise island and Nassau 🙂

  2. Well guess what?? I couldn’t even be more happier for you!! To be there and not frolic …?? I’d not only be jealous but very disappointed. 😉
    Enjoy, sweets!!! xo

  3. Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
