Reena understands the pain of struggle on a deeply emotional level. She also knows the happiness and peace that comes with getting to the other side of that pain.
At the age of 25, Reena received the shock of her life when she was diagnosed with kidney disease. At the time she was a single mother to her three-year-old daughter. Her world was rattled. Things got worse before they ever got better—she also battled depression and addiction.
Her road to recovery wasn’t easy but with strength and resilience she overcame hardship. One of the tools she credits for her sobriety is a dedicated yoga and mindfulness practice. She’s been practicing for over 15 years, became certified in 2011 and has been teaching ever since. In 2018 she underwent kidney transplant surgery and was teaching with 5% kidney function right up until her surgery!
Reena realized that she was in a position to help others and that has become her passion. Now a licensed health and life coach in addition to being a yoga instructor, Reena has incorporated her life experiences and training to create a holistic approach dedicated to helping women triumphantly shatter barriers to live happy and meaningful lives.
“It’s phenomenal…extremely satisfying to connect with people on this level—who feel vulnerable and see them flourish and come out of a shell of sorts.” -Reena
